Technical Project Manager - Sacramento, CA

Infiniti is searching for a Technical Project Manager in the Sacramento area. The Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedules, cost, and performance risks. This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects and manages client satisfaction, definition, planning, monitoring, and other aspects of a project. The PM will direct and supervise support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities. The ideal candidate will have prior consulting experience in the public sector with proven success managing highly complex projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, negotiation, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have at least two years of enterprise analysis experience
  • Ability to work well with other contractors, IT staff, subject matter experts, management and staff stakeholders, and external stakeholders
  • Must have at least 5 years of proven IT experience in the following areas:
  1. Documenting Business Case and IT systems’ goals
  2. Gathering  Business and Functional requirements
  3. Documenting As-Is and To-Be processes and workflows
  4. Leading JAR sessions
  5. Writing formal requirements documentation
  6. Performing solution comparative analysis
  7. Technical writing
  8. Project management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA®) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) certification by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
  • Experience with State Control Agencies including the California Department of Technology, the Department of Finance, and the Department of General Services
